Personal Insurance

It's personal.
Taking care of the people and the possessions you treasure isn’t something you plan with just anyone. This is a long-term relationship. You want someone who will understand the changes, even the ups and downs of your life. Someone who knows you well enough to anticipate the call to add a son or daughter to your car insurance; insuring your new home doesn’t come as a surprise to them. We work with our clients to plan long-term solutions that fit their current life style knowing what they want for the future. No two plans are exactly the same, just like no two people are exactly the same. We don’t just sell products; we build relationships.

Liability Coverage –
provides protection against legal liability arising out of the ownership, maintenance, or use of any insured automobile. The insuring agent agrees to pay damages for bodily injury or property damage for which the insured is legally responsible because of an automobile accident resulting from the ownership, maintenance, or use of a covered auto. The insuring agreement also states that in addition to the payment of damages for which the insured is legally liable, the insurer also agrees to defend the insured for all legal defense cost. The defense cost is in addition to the policy limits.

Liability (Bodily Injury) – provides coverage if your car injures or kills a pedestrian or persons riding in other cars and the accident is your fault.

Liability (Property Damage) – provides coverage if your car damages the property of others and the accident is your fault.

Medical Payments Coverage – covers reasonable and necessary medical and funeral expenses incurred by an insured because of accidental bodily injury. If in an auto - the insured is the name insured, the insured’s employees and guests, and any other person occupying a covered auto. These payments are made without regard to fault.

Uninsured Motorist – covers bodily injuries to an insured injured by an uninsured motorist, a hit-and-run driver, or a driver whose insurer becomes insolvent. These benefits are paid under the named insured’s policy.

Underinsured Motorist – covers injuries when the other driver has liability limits at the time of an accident, but the liability limits carried may be insufficient to pay for damages for which the driver is responsible. This is when the insured’s underinsured motorists coverage would apply and payment for the difference could be made. The two coverages are mutually exclusive and do not overlap or duplicate each other.

Collision Coverage – provides protection against loss or damage to a covered auto or a non-owned auto resulting from the impact with another vehicle or object. Collision losses are paid regardless of fault.

This coverage also provides for supplemental payments for transportation expenses in the event of total theft of a covered auto or a non-owned auto. Coverage begins 48 hours after the theft.

Deductible – The amount a policyholder pays when there is a loss.

Identity Theft – Someone knowingly transfers or uses without lawful authority, a means of identification of another person with the intent to commit or aid or abet any unlawful activity that constitutes a felony under any state or local law.
